Carnival in yellow

"Carnival in yellow" collects detective stories at a situation, in which the protagonists, the investigators known by the major novels published by this publisher, carry out their work in the climate of the proverbially mocking party that conditions them heavily. They deal with masks and disguises, with libertinaggio and confusion of the "backdrop". A capacity of metamorphosis of people and things that accentuates the difficulty of the enigma. That mixes in every story a grotesque dye. Petra and Fermin - In the first story by Alicia Giménez-Bartlett - they face the case of a "devil" found Stecquito and wet blood and water in the alleys of Barcelona. The masked of the misunderstandings, narrated by Francesco Reci, involves, under the usual cynical destiny, the house of railing in the hunt for a collier disappeared. In the theatrical baralanda of a country party, more congenial, the good Enzo Baiamonte of the writer Gian Mauro Costa conducts his suburban investigation: the dead man is behind a mask of the Mastro of Campo, a kermesse of the Palermo village of Mezzojuso. Antonio Manzini's black tale is not even revived for a moment from the party, since the Vicequestore Rocco Schiavone considers the carnival only a halloween failed. Marco Malvaldi Traveste The gilt glags from judges of fate more than from gossip investigators: their harsh Lex breaks down with ridecy irony on a very Italian mascalzone.
