"The Thin Match Man" is being shown at the 2011 Italian Film Festival USA. Simone, an eleven-year old boy, has to spend all summer at home under the ferocious gaze of his father. Outside: the sweet wind of adventure. Inside: the blackest boredom. Then Lorenza, a 13 year-old mysterious girl with green eyes, arrives in Simone's village from the city. For Simone it becomes a question of life and death: he must escape from home and run away with Lorenza to his fantasy reign. There, among imaginary friends and giant dwarfs who live in the dark under his bed, the two children search for the Thin Match Man, the king of that enchanted kingdom. Simone, un bambino di undici anni, e' costretto restare un'intera estate in casa, nelle campagne teramane, sotto l'occhio un po' feroce del padre. Fuori: il dolce vento dell'avventura. Dentro: la noia piu' tetra. Finche' dalla citta' arriva Lorenza, tredici anni, mistero di occhi verdi. Per Simone diventa una questione di vita o di morte: evadere da casa e scappare con lei nel suo regno fantastico.
